School Uniform

  • We want students to develop a sense of appropriate dress and we expect all students to wear the school's uniform. They may also be required to have specialist clothing for some lessons. Items of everyday wear are:
    • Grey or black skirt/trousers
    • White college polo shirt*
    • Black college sweatshirt*
    • Black shoes
    *Polo shirts and sweatshirts should have the Cottenham Village College logo and must be purchased from the college.

    Order forms are available from receptions and can be downloaded below.


    We use this powerpoint presentation with our students to help exemplify exactly what we do and do not consider to be appropriate uniform - parents of older students in particular may find this useful.

Lost Property

Some watches, keys and phones have been found.  If you think an item could be yours, please see Mrs Ayling in the office.

All unnamed lost property items will be on display in the promenade week beginning 12 July 2010 for the whole week.  Pupils are welcome to visit the Site Office beforehand to view the lost property items.  Items that are named will automatically be returned to the pupils.

 A reminder to parents:  please ensure that all items are named.

After School & In School Activities and Clubs

Cottenham Christian Union meet every Thursday lunchtime in the Common Room.

Thursday lunchtimes in M5 Mathletes runs for all Year 7and 8 to come along and try different things. This year they have done strategy games, origami and mutlilink activities. Run by Miss Kupski and Miss Clarke.

GCSE Geography revision sessions for Year 11 are running on a Tuesday from 3.30-4.30, Year 10 on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3.30-4.30.

Music are running a Glee Club on Thursday in Mu1 at 3.30 - 4.15pm (late bus to be signed in at reception break or lunch).

Photography Club runs on Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30. Anyone is welcome although you do need some kind of Digital camera. You will try lots of different types of photography and manipulate the images using the software on the school computers. You also get to shoot some real assignments for anyone needing things photographed around the school.

An after school Cooking Club will run every Thursday starting on September 23rd from 3.30 tp 5pm. This is open to anyone interested. Members should bring in their own ingredients. Depending on the number of participants and how it goes it might remain open for the whole school term.

Cricket and rounders club run on Mondays after school. Athletics and tennis club run on Thursdays after school.

In Setpember 2010 rugby and hockey will run on Mondays after school.
